Skokie, IL – Fairview South announced today that it has been recognized as a 2022-23 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished School. It is one of 212 middle schools across the U.S. to receive this honor for providing broad access to transformative learning experiences for students through PLTW Gateway. PLTW is a nonprofit organization that serves millions of PreK-12 students and teachers in schools across the U.S.

Arts Education prepares youth for success in school, in work, and in life. Northlight's dynamic arts education programs reach 4000+ students annually in schools throughout the Chicagoland area. Northlight has been a partner with Fairview Middle School for over a decade, and celebrated with our most recent project: the Northlight/Fairview co-production of Scared! Over the past eight weeks, Northlight Teaching Artists worked with students in grades 5-7 on acting fundamentals and production elements including set decorations, hand painted masks, and props.
